Comtorgage expansion plugs are custom made for a wide variety of applications.

Some sample internal applications:

• 2-point and 3-point diameter, including very deep bores and diameters at specific depths
• Diameter of thin-walled flexible parts that do not stretch
• Interrupted diameters (evenly or unevenly spaced)
• Groove diameter
• Tapered bore diameter
• Spherical diameter
• Trepan diameter (outer ID), or a diameter with an obstruction in the center
• Thread minor diameter or pitch diameter
• Spline or gear major diameter, minor diameter, or pitch diameter (even or odd numbers of teeth)
• Internal widths between parallel planes, such as keyways
• Internal widths of square or hex shapes

Some sample external applications:

• Pilot diameter, hub diameter, or shaft diameter
• Groove diameter
• Trepan diameter (center OD)
• Thread major or pitch diameter
• Spline or gear major diameter, minor diameter, or pitch diameter

Most of these applications must be specifically quoted to your prints. Please contact us for a quote.

However, the simplest application, which is an internal bore, may not require a specific quote. Comtorgage makes 2-point contact expansion plugs per their standard design, which are priced below. Note that although they are built to a standard design, these expansion plugs are not off-the-shelf. Each one is built to a specific diameter and tolerance requirement, and there are many alterations available to meet specific requirements.
